    Before you start

    Change midtones without moving the endpoints

    • Gamma applies a nonlinear curve that keeps pure black and pure white anchored.
    • Positive values brighten midtones and negative values darken them. Exposure scales the full tonal range instead.
    • Gamma cannot recover detail that is already clipped in the source, and output dimensions stay unchanged.
