    Before you start

    Rotation turns the image through a chosen angle

    • Rotate turns each image by a chosen angle and expands the output canvas when needed.
    • Use it for a deliberate angle change; use Auto-orient for embedded orientation or Straighten Image for a small correction.
    • Angles that are not quarter turns create filled corner areas, and lossy output formats may soften fine detail.
