    Before you start

Compression targets file size, not dimensions

    • Compression re-encodes each image at the selected quality while keeping its dimensions.
    • Use it to reduce file size; use Compress to Target Size when a specific KB or MB limit must be met.
    • Fine detail may soften, lossy PNG may reduce colors, and a larger source-format result is replaced by the input.

    Compress Image FAQ

    Common questions

    Will compression reduce quality?

Automatic compression may soften fine detail. Increase Quality in Customize, or use Lossless PNG when every PNG color must be preserved.

Why did my file not get smaller?

Some images are already as small as this browser can make them. ImageFlow keeps the original file unchanged and reports No savings.

    Are images uploaded anywhere?

No. This tool reads and compresses images in your browser. Neither the source files nor the results are sent to ImageFlow.

    Which formats are supported?

JPEG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF images up to 50 MB each. A batch can contain up to 50 images and 250 MB total.
