    Check these yourself

    • Preview square, portrait and landscape thumbnails in Etsy’s listing editor.
    • Check the color and subject placement before uploading.

Product bounds are estimated from the background connected to the image edges. Busy backgrounds, pale products and product shadows may need manual review. The Etsy square test covers one crop; preview the other thumbnails in Etsy too.

    Before you start

Prepare a listing photo and preview the thumbnail crop

    • The local report checks format, transparent pixels, both dimensions and estimated square thumbnail fit.
    • Add uniform-color padding or create an opaque JPEG copy when the report offers a supported fix.
    • The square test is an ImageFlow compatibility check; Etsy’s other thumbnail views and listing acceptance still need your review.
